Have you ever noticed some dry patches on your skin? Yep, hello dead skin cells.
If you’ve ever noticed days when your skin feels rough and dry while some other days that is not the case, your skin may lack exfoliation. Our skin naturally sheds on its own meaning the top layer comes off, and a new layer emerges. However, there are instances where the dead skin cells don’t come off completely. As a result, you may notice flakiness. In some other cases, acne develops.
The solution to this is by exfoliating. Exfoliation is a process of removing dead skin cells sitting on the topmost layer of our skin. There are a bunch of ways how to do this but the most common is by using physical scrubs. It can be by using loofah, body brushes, pumice stones, or by using skin products with microbeads, sugar granules, salt, seeds, basically anything with a slightly rough texture that will help brush off the old skin.
Today, we are lucky to try one of NU Skin’s best sellers, the Liquid Body Lufra.
NU Skin is an American company selling personal care products although not as widespread in comparison to its competitors on the industry but nonetheless, this brand has garnered a handful of supporters too. Twynkle, a registered NU Skin distributor sent us this amazing product.

I have dry skin, like summer-dry-dry and micro-peeling-rainy-season-dry even though I am not using anything that’s supposed to peel anything. To combat this problem I have been using Aveeno Creamy Moisturizing Oil especially during summer months. On rainy days when the air is colder and my skin tends to micro peel because of the dryness, I use a slightly thicker body lotion from Kaloderma. This is an Italian brand, I’m not sure if this is available in most countries but mine is a gift from my fiance’s mom from Italy.
I tend to avoid exfoliating body products because I don’t feel I need it, plus I’m afraid my skin will be even drier because of the scrubbing. When I tried NU Skin’s Liquid Body Lufra, I first used it with a loofah. I lathered it up and scrubbed my skin with the loofah containing the product. However, after a week of using it, I did not notice any difference. By the way, I only use this twice a week.
By the second week, I tried a different method. I did not use the loofah and instead directly lathered the product on my skin. After washing it off, my skin was nice and smooth similar to how I feel whenever I use my Dear Klairs Gentle Black Sugar Facial Polish on my face!
What Do I Like About It?
Ah, the scent is great! This is one of the key factors why I enjoy using this. It smells minty-fresh! I also love the walnut husks as they are finely grounded to just the right size for my liking, plus the lather is pretty good too. The consistency is gel-like, I feel like slathering an aloe vera gel whenever I swab this on my skin without foaming it.
What Don’t I Like About It?
I’m not a fan of the color, it’s brownish but it’s still okay. Other than that, this product is good for me.
Will I Recommend It?
If your skin is dry and you’re looking for a dependable exfoliator that will not suck up the moisture on your skin even more, I can recommend this for you. Just don’t use a loofah with it!
If you’re interested here is where I got mine!
