Skincare: Dear Klairs, Gentle Black Sugar Facial Polish Review

Product Description

The Gentle Black Sugar Facial Polish contains an abundance of black sugar which aids in the removal of dead skin cells and blackheads. It exfoliates dry skin with ease and adds a glossy smooth look to the skin. When seasons change, the skin tends to become uneven with dry patches which can cause makeup to apply unevenly and look “cakey”. Achieve smooth soft skin perfect for make up application by using the Klairs Gentle Black Sugar Facial Polish once or twice a week. Keeps your skin soft and supple through effective exfoliation and deep moisturizing with this anti-bacterial and anti-aging facial scrub which will also help treat dry, flaky skin

Volume : 110g
All skin types
Made in Korea

Main Features

The Gentle Black Sugar Facial Polish is a premium facial scrub with natural moisturizers such as black sugar, shea butter, and cranberry oil to smooth the skin.
The fine particles of black sugar and unsaturated fatty acids melt the deeply rooted blackheads and sebum in the pores, as well as rough skin, making it silky smooth. The cranberry seed oil, shea butter, and vitamins A & E hydrates and comforts the skin.

My Experience

My forehead is rather bumpy with lots of tiny I-don’t-know-what-they-are. They look like pimples but they are not and because of these, I prefer physical scrubs to chemical ones. I’m hoping someday they’re just gonna go away!

Before, I was using was the Black Sugar Mask by Skinfood. It was good until 6 months later it was causing me breakouts so I stopped. I don’t know why maybe because of the oxidation? I’m not sure.

Gentle Black Sugar Facial Polish from Dear Klairs is indeed true to its name. I like to scoop only a little amount and dissolve them a bit with some water drops before I scrub the product on my face. Though I have only used this twice I’m not seeing any adverse effects so, yea, so far so good I guess. By the way, I only scrub twice a month.

What Do I Like About It?

What I like about Gentle Black Sugar Facial Polish the most is that it’s super gentle. My skin tends to react negatively whenever I try new skincare products but this did not cause a breakout but do know that I don’t use this frequently. Also, whenever I exfoliate, I only rub my skin gently and then immediately wash it off. I don’t like cleansing/exfoliating products to sit on my skin longer than a minute.

What Don’t I Like About It?

Ah, why can’t masks come in squeezable tubes too? I don’t like products that are in jar packaging because it’s not hygienic!

Will I Recommend It?

YES! So far it’s all good for me, I have a sensitive skin type so this I will recommend to you girls! Be wary though, if you are looking for a scrub that gets the blackheads out this will be a disappointment for you. The effects of Dear Klairs Gentle Black Sugar Facial Polish are very subtle, you will not see a considerable difference but you will definitely feel it, a smoother skin!

Additional Notes:

Don’t use it everyday! Although I’ve read that some people are using scrubs on a daily basis but physically exfoliating your skin day-to-day is too much (for me at least). I only use them twice a month and my skin is a-okay with it!

Here’s a short video of me scrubbing my face 😁
