3 Easy And Simple Daily Self-Care Activities With Or Without Pandemic

Hello from the Philippines. How is your quarantine life going?

Today, I listed down my basic daily self-care activities and I want to share them with you in case you need a little pat in the back, and a little hey, you got this, okay.

1. Simple Skincare Routine

For me, skincare is basic of the basic like, this is next to eating and drinking though I know some people regard this as a lesser priority. However, in my experience, waking up with a healthy glow in your face makes all the difference, like I can receive any type of news today because honey, I’m glowing!

Knowing that your skin feels better and looks better (yes without makeup) is, correct me if I’m wrong, a magical feeling for us girls and women. Knowing that you look your best boosts the positive vibes around you. So no matter what happens, skincare is life girls!

2. Stretching / Exercise (No Matter How Minimal)

If you have been reading a bit from my blog, you would know this, that my everyday workout routine is less than a minute, even less than 30 seconds, I think. Just a few stretches here and there, ten counts of jumping jacks, and ten counts of squats. That’s it.

I think we don’t have to exactly copy what others do. Instead, it is better if we still do it, still exercise because our body needs it, but we are allowed to alter the way things are done based on our understanding of ourselves to match our personalities. So, go girl, shake those arms while sitting!

3. Daily Shower

This one is easily one of my fave things to do. I mean, being an extra cleaner, of course cleaning myself is the best. However, I do find this as one of those activities that differ depending on the culture where we are brought up. For us Filipinos, we are a bit too clean in general because we hate smelling sweaty, we hate smelling the natural scent of our skin and scalp, so we shower and wash our hair daily.

There is no better feeling in the world than stepping out of the shower, smelling fresh and clean, and then spritzing on your favorite perfume, and then putting on your cute, sexy, frilly, whatever it is dress or jumpsuit, or romper, or your cashmere loungewear and then brushing your hair, and then putting on some light makeup. This just lifts moods. Seriously, girls. This does.

Hang in there and stay safe everyone. Lovelots.

  2. Hi Princess 👋🏻 I love this post! I have bipolar so it’s important for me to stick to a schedule. I have my schedule written out in my planner and I follow it religiously! Skincare is at the top of my to do’s as well! I think it’s as important as brushing my teeth! Exercise is crucial for me – I do it for an hour a day! And I have to shower after working out because I’m sweating so that always feels refreshing! We have a few things in common! So nice to meet you. Stay well. Be blessed! Kindly, Tanya – Divinely Bipolar

    1. Hello Tanya, thank you for the kind words! Wow, you are are strong, I cannot exercise beyond 5 minutes! Also, how do you follow your schedule faithfully? I always end up jumbling things in my schedule even if I have a chronological checklist. Oh well, it’s nice connecting with you! Wish you well! ❤️

      1. I am no longer working out of the home so it’s been much easier for me to stick to my schedule. Especially with our stay at home orders in Michigan for COVID19, we are extended until May 15th. I have to exercise that much or I have a lot of nervous energy throughout the day! We are all different and it’s nice to know our limitations! Nice to meet you too! Thanks for reaching out. Take care!
