Hello, how have you been doing?
Today I want to share with you my hydration skincare routine and the products that I am using and loving! I actually have been meaning to write about this for some time now but because it’s kind of hard for me to commit to a daily routine, I have been putting this one off.
Anyway, here we are! The facial cleanser that I was using before was the CosRX Low-PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser. It was good but the thing about it is that it increased the sensitivity of my skin and I became prone to breakouts even though I wasn’t before. I did finish the pack that I bought though but sadly, I just used it on my body instead.
Gel cleansers are generally recommended for people with oily and combination type of skin and are typically designed for deep cleansing. They are good at unclogging pores, removing excess oil, and also removing acne-causing bacteria. However, take this with a grain of salt because we all know that this is not always the case. There are factors like climate, present skin condition, and sensitivity to certain ingredients or combinations of ingredients that affect how the skin reacts to certain products so this might or might not fit you.
What I am using as of now is the Nature Republic Soothing and Moisture Aloe Vera Foam Cleanser.
What I like about this is, for one thing, this is actually much more affordable compared to CosRx and second, my skin is a match! I now only experience a few breakouts and they only pop up whenever I’m having my period and for only Php 245 at BeautyMnl as of writing this post so this one is absolutely a steal!
After cleansing, I then spritz on my moisturizer. If it’s daytime, I use the Nature Republic Soothing and Moisture Aloe Vera 92 % Soothing Gel Mist. What I like about this is even though it is watery in texture, I can still feel a thin veil of an invisible moisturizing mask on my face. It did not break me out either so this is a thumbs up!
At night time what I use is the Laneige Cream Skin Refiner. Before I used to apply on the Nature Republic Soothing and Moisture Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel. However, it became too thick for my liking, and since the summer months are now arriving I switched to something lighter.
Now at 27 (oomp!) I am starting to feel some pressure with regards to keeping my skin as healthy as possible so not only I look my best but also, I get a few injects of confidence from time to time. Self-care right there!
As an addition, I also want to share with you an easy and oh, so simple self-care checklist I use (whenever I’m into it) because I’m not going to lie, I don’t check on myself every day. There are times when I would just waste the day away by lying in bed, watching whatever interesting is on Youtube.
